Course Description

PACESNeuro is a dedicated neuro-ophthalmology course taking place within the Atkinson Morley neurology wing of St George’s Hospital in London, which provides additional teaching specifically for the neurology/ophthalmology parts of the PACES exam. The course has an emphasis on the examination technique and demonstration of neurological and signs.

. This is a hands-on teaching course you will be exposed to patients with an array of neurological signs which cover the commonest cases encountered in the PACES exam. The sessions will be facilitated by experienced neurologists & ophthalmologists, with a proven track record in teaching for the PACES exam and you will be given tips on improving your presentation skills. You will be advised on technique and interpretation of signs and where necessary also be guided on how to elicit them or have them demonstrated for you should you wish.

There will be an additional session to ensure that you have seen the variety of different neurological gait ( click to view sample) and tremor disorders and are able to determine the neurological basis of the disorder.

Candidates will be given a course pack which contains the course booklet and neurological equipment which can be taken away to be used in the exam.
